New Build

The Neath Port Talbot Planning Committee met on Wednesday 9th of June and voted unaminously to accept outline planning permission for the new surgery at the old washery site near McDonald's in Glynneath.

Hopefully the Vale of Neath will have a new building within 3 years from this date.

Change of Doctors

Dr Simona Gheorghiu has left the practice to join her husband who has recently relocated to Scarborough. Simona has been with the practice for a little over two years and will be missed by the other doctors, staff and patients.

Dr Rebekah Hepburn will be joining the practice on the 1st of June 2010. Rebekah graduated from Cardiff in 2003, she has been working as a locum in the Swansea area for the last 18 months. Her main interests are the health of women and children and general medicine.

New Opening hours for Resolven Branch Surgery

From the 1st of June 2010, the opening hours of the Resolven branch surgery are changing.
The branch surgery will now be closed on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon.
The branch surgery will be open every morning Monday to Friday and Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
The branch surgery will now be open on every Thursday morning.
Baby clinic will start at 11:30 on every Wednesday morning in the branch surgery.
When the Resolven branch surgery is closed, patients are of course welcome to come the main surgery in Glynneath where the opening times remain unchanged. Appointsments can be booked in the normal way by phoning the surgery number. In addition, the duty doctor in Glynneath is available for telephone medical advice during the hours of closure of the branch surgery.
